Christmas Wishlist | Blogmas Day 17

Christmas hasn’t been where I really make Christmas wishes in a long time.

In fact, if someone was to ask me at any point for a wishlist– I wouldn’t be able to give them one.  I feel guilty even thinking about a wishlist for me.  At least in any physical items.

What I would wish for that can’t really be bought–

  • Health and answers– up front for my breast but answers longer-term for my migraines.  Also, I wish this year to be healthy over-all.  For everyone.
  • Flexible employment– we had decent jobs now but I would like to find something a bit more flexible.  I would love to work from home with something flexible.
I also wanted to include this little video as well because it seems to be very true.  I actually found this talented gentleman (and various others) on accident through FaceBook.  Which resulted in me looking through the entire list of songs that are out there.  So, I want to share this song… because our country– our world, needs this!

If you are curious for the lyrics to this cover song…

Do you remember me
I sat upon your knee
I wrote to you with childhood fantasies
Well I’m all grown up now
And still need help somehow
I’m not a child but my heart still can dream
So here’s my lifelong wish
My grown up Christmas list
Not for myself but for a world in need
No more lives torn apart
That wars would never start
And time would heal all hearts
And everyone would have a friend
And right would always win
And love would never end, no
This is my grown up Christmas list
As children we believe
The grandest sight to see
Was something lovely wrapped beneath the tree
But Heaven only knows
That packages and bows
Can never heal a heartached human soul
No more lives torn apart
That wars would never start
And time would heal all hearts
And everyone would have a friend
And right would always win
And love would never end, no
This is my grown up Christmas list
What is this illusion called the innocence of youth
Maybe only in our blind belief can we ever find the truth
No more lives torn apart
That wars would never start
And time would heal all hearts
And everyone would have a friend
And right would always win
And love would never end, no
This is my grown up Christmas list
This is my only lifelong wish
This is my grown up Christmas list
